No School
There is no school Monday, May 25th, in honor of Memorial Day. We hope you enjoy a restful 3 day weekend. School resumes on Tuesday, May 26th.

5th Grade Concerts
Please join us for our 5th grade guitar concerts on Wednesday, May 27th. We will have 2 concerts, at 6:30pm and 7:30pm. Our resident professional, Michael Miles, will be assisting our students and playing.

Attendance
Our attendance is back to our normal pattern. Thank you for being patient during our recent period of illness. We also appreciated your help in monitoring student illness.

Summer Workbooks
Please watch the backpacks for a letter about ordering workbooks for math and reading review. These are strictly optional, but are offered in lieu of packets that teachers have previously sent home from school. We will not be sending home summer packets this year.

Summer Reading
Reading is an essential skill that needs to continue throughout the summer. I will again be asking that students participate in the summer reading program. Each student will receive 3 postcards. They simply need to read at least 3 books, write me about the books and mail the postcards. Students will receive a note back from me, and their name will be put in a drawing for cool prizes. The top prize will be principal for the day. My goal is that every student read at least 1 book this summer. Let's make this happen!
