Rutledge Hall News 8/29/2008
Welcome to the 2008-2009 School Year!
We have had a wonderful start to the year this week. Here are some highlights:
• Flag raising ceremony - a big thanks to the Lincolnwood Police Department Honor Guard for their presentation.
• Cool Tools - we have taught school-wide expectations for behavior. We expect students to be respectful, responsible, and safe throughout our building.
• Kick-off celebration - our first school-wide assembly focused on our expectations. We had a great jaguar mascot who helped kick-off the celebration.
Summer reading awards - 6 awards per grade level were given for our summer post card reading project. Winners were: 3rd Grade - Jackie C., Noor A., Joe T., Robyn Rose S., Albijon P., and Umar M. 4th Grade - Demitri M., Courtney R., Hana C., Alex B., Bruce B., and Alex H. 5th Grade - Bao-Tran L., Alexandra E., Naomi P., Nicole I., Dimitri D., and Kyla Rose S.
Our grand prize winner, winning Principal for the Day, was Stasie P. Thanks to all students who read this summer and returned their postcards.

**Curriculum Night is extremely important. We are asking that each family attend to learn about the classroom, new school-wide expectations, and curriculum. Our goal is 100% participation.
