This week we have been working very hard on ISAT prep.  The students have a done a number of math packets, reading packets, math extended response, reading extended response, and expository essays.  I feel they all will be well prepared.  Please read my tips to think about during next week's ISAT testing.

Tomorrow is our Presidents' Report.  It will begin at 12:00 in the Rutledge Hall library, all are welcome!!!  Please be sure to pack your child's presidential outfit with him or her to bring to school tomorrow morning.  All of the students have been working extremely hard and are very excited about the reports!  I hope all can make it!

Reminder** We do not have school this Friday, February 27th (teacher institute day), and Monday, March 2nd (Casmir Pulaski Day).

Enjoy the long weekend!

I want to wish you and your family a very Happy Valentine’s Day.

Our Force and Motion Unit will be over tomorrow. The children have all worked very hard and have learned a lot about work, force, motion, and the 6 simple machines. Next week we are starting chapter 5 in Social Studies.

We have started prepping for the ISATs. When your child brings home a reading passage or a math exemplar please sit down and discuss these with him or her. We are working on writing complete written responses for both reading and math. The more you talk and work with your child the better prepared he or she will be. We are also working on writing 5 paragraph expository essays. Writing is now being tested on the 3rd grade ISAT. Please read these essays and discuss the comments I make. Thank you for all your hard work!
