Vocabulary Helpers

Remember!

Looking up words in a traditional dictionary can be difficult for young learners. Traditional dictionaries typically use complex language to define words and lack adequate examples. This can further confuse students. Try using more kid friendly references like:

1.  www.vocabulary.com

2.  www.wordcentral.com

Fact: Most students need at least 7 exposures to a new vocabulary word for it to become part of their mental word bank.

Happy Valentine's Day!
