Dear Families –

Our marathon week of testing is finally behind us. The kids did a great job of staying focused and taking the time to check their work carefully. We’ve been busy this week getting back to our normal schedule. Here’s a brief update.

Dear Families –

We are half way through ISAT testing. The class has been amazing, taking this exam very seriously and remaining focused. They are very diligent in checking, rechecking, and editing their work prior to completion. It’s rewarding for me to see them go through this process, given the amount of time spent in preparation for this test!

Dear Families –

We’re on the final “lap” of our own “Olympic training” – ISAT prep!!!!  When we return from this four-day weekend starting tomorrow, we will begin the actual testing. Here are a few reminders of things you can do at home to ensure that your child comes fully prepared and is mentally and physically at his/her best.

•Be sure that your child eats a hearty breakfast.

•Send your child to bed at an appropriate time so that he/she is alert and well-rested.

Dear Families –
A huge thank you to Mrs. Zasso for providing us, once again, with a fantastic celebration for Valentine’s Day! We all appreciate it so much. Prior to the party, we were dancing to the latest tunes provided by a DJ. It was so entertaining to watch the latest dance moves – these fourth graders really have rhythm and totally get into the spirit!! The PTA has provided us with so many wonderful activities this year and we are so thankful for their generosity!

Here are a couple of events that we are really looking forward to!!

This afternoon, we are going to Lincolnwood Place to get together with our Senior friends. We will be decorating Valentine cookies. The students made Valentines for each resident and created poems  that they will recite to the group. We are so looking forward to our visit and feel really fortunate that we can participate in this intergenerational experience.
