Dear Families:

The marathon week of testing is finally behind us! The kids did a great job staying focused and taking the time to check their work carefully. Here is a brief update of what we’ve been doing.

In Reading, we have begun Theme 4, Problem Solvers. This theme focuses on different problems and ways to solve them. The reading strategies involved are predict/infer and drawing conclusions.

Dear Families:

We are half way through ISAT testing. The class has been so focused and taking this exam very seriously. They have been checking and rechecking their work prior to completion. It’s rewarding for me to see them go through this process given the amount time spent in preparation for this test.

Dear Families:

We’re heading to the finish line of our own Olympic training-ISAT prep!!!! Upon our return on Tuesday, the students will be in full swing testing mode. Here are some important reminders that you can do at home to ensure that your child is mentally and physically ready for testing.

•Be sure that your child eats a hearty breakfast each morning. No growling stomachs allowed!
• Send your child to bed at a reasonable time, so they are well rested and alert.

Dear Families:

A huge thank you to Mrs. Pabst for providing us with a fun Valentine celebration. We all appreciate it so much. Prior to the party, the students were dancing machines moving to the current top 40 hits. It was entertaining to watch the latest dance moves-these 4th graders really have rhythm and total get into the spirit! The PTA has provided many wonderful activities this year and we are so thankful for their generosity!
