Ms. Bavolek's last day

Hello Parents and Students,

Tomorrow (Friday 5/28) is Ms. Bavolek's last day in our classroom. We have decided to have a surprise party for her to say good-bye. The students wanted to get her a token of thanks and so they have decided to each bring in $2 each for a gift card. I know it is last minute notice, but if students could come with $2 tomorrow, that would be great. Also, we will be having a pizza party as part of our send off, so students do not need to bring in a lunch tomorrow. They are welcome to bring one if they want, but there will be pizza for everyone.

Hello Parents and Students,

Mark your calendars

Dear Parents and Students,

I wanted to give you a heads up about some important dates that are coming up in the next couple of weeks. First of all, the national landmarks models are due next Friday, March 12. If this is the first time you are hearing anything about them, please contact me ASAP. Students who are finished can bring their projects in anytime next week. Additionally, portfolio night is Monday March 22. I will send home sign-up sheets next week for times. When you get them, you will see that there are hour long blocks for you to sign up. That doesn't mean that it will take an hour to go through the portfolios, but rather you can come in anytime during that hour long block. The times are flexible, but I want to try to avoid too many people coming at once so please try to come within the first 45 minutes of the hour you sign up for. Wednesday, March 24 will be a combination portfolio/conference night. I will set aside some time for parents who cannot attend the portfolio night on Monday. There will additionally be limited time slots available for conferences with students whose parents feel the need to meet or who I feel the need to meet with. Since there will be a limited number of slots available, I will schedule conferences based on need. One final date to note is Thursday, March 26. The ever popular Dr. Robert James, aka "The Animal Man", will be coming in with his entourage of animals. The cost for the program is $4 per student. Permission slips will be coming home next week. I hope to see all of you the Week of March 22.
