Have a Wonderful Summer!

Thanks to all my students for the wonderful school year.  I really enjoyed my first year teaching ELL students.  Good luck to all the 5th graders moving on to Lincoln Hall.  You will be missed.

All students need to read over the summer.  Avoid the "summer slide" by reading a little each day.  The summer is a perfect time to enjoy some good books so take the time to read.  Make visiting the Lincolnwood Library a regular event in your summer schedule.

Have a wonderful and safe summer!

3rd Grade Solar System Poems to Practice Fluency

During our space unit, the third graders practiced repeated reading with poems about our solar system.  We read and recorded a poem about each planet and the solar system as a group.  In addition, we wrote the poem about Pluto the dwarf planet.  Please listen to these poems.  Repeated readings are a wonderful way to practice reading fluency.
