Classroom Connection Sept 19

Dear Parents,

Students have been busy these past few weeks working hard in the content areas.

Here is what we have been doing:

READING:  Students are excited about the independent reading assignments.  It seems that they are devouring their books and can't wait to get their hands on the next one.  Additionally, the whole group is reading the novel Tuck Everlasting.  Students will be instructed on different reading strategies and assigned various lieterature activities.

MATH:  The next math unit will focus on using numbers and organizing data.  In this unit students will participate in data collecting activies and data analzing lessons.  Please make sure that students have plenty of practice with mulitplication facts.  There will be weekly fact tests.
