The Ullman Update
Submitted by Mrs Ullman on Mon, 2008-11-24 12:16.Hello Families,Â
Well, give room four a round of applause. Our room raised nearly $220 for the Niles Township Food Pantry and over $1600 as a school. Students and families were so generous and the money will really go to help those in need this holiday season.Â

Submitted by Mrs Ullman on Thu, 2008-09-18 10:43.Hello Families,
What a wonderful week it has been! We had our first field trip to the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Thank you to our chaperones: Mrs. Tomacic, Mrs. Kinney, Mrs. O'Brien, Mrs. Voss, and Mrs. Zasso. Your help is greatly appreciated! Students had a great time learning about the prairie of Illinois. This was a great way to kick off the start of Social Studies. Stay tuned for pictures from our trip which I will post as soon as I get them developed.
Please remember to be working with your student on his/her math facts. I gave another timed test today and it is very apparent who is and is not working on their +/- skills on a regular basis. These are basics that the students should know coming into 3rd grade. Please remember telling time and working with money (making change) are also skills that they need to have mastered.

This is my fourth year teaching 3rd grade at Rutledge Hall. I received my bachelor degree from University Wisconsin Eau-Claire and my Masters in Education from DePaul University.

I have had a very busy summer. As you will see from the pictures below, I was married in June. We had a gorgeous day at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens and had the opportunity to travel quite a bit this summer. I will gladly tell you more about myself in my next blog - so stay tuned!
